20/01/2012 Nippon Steel Pipe Vietnam awarded Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS)

Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) has just awarded Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) for Nippon Steel Pipe Vietnam after 8 months of commercial operation in Vietnam. Certification obtained are JIS A5525 (steel pipe piles), JIS A5530 (steel pipe sheet piles), JIS G3444 (carbon steel tubes for general structure) and JIS G3457 (arc welded carbon steel pipe).

This is as international recognition of NPV’s assured ability and organized system for production and quality control. In future, NPV will be providing products and services of ever-greater reliability to major-scale projects in Vietnam and other countries as our strategy to become steel pipe piles and other steel pipes with high quality for global market.  It will also be firmly intent on seeking Environment ISO14001, FPC and other mill certifications Mr. Kenichi Kanezaki – General Director said.

The factory of NPV located in Phu My 2, Industrial Zone, Ba ria Vung Tau Province. This is the first production base of Nippon Steel Corporation for construction material outside of Japan with invested capital $15 million and production capacity 5,000ton/month. Specializing in manufacturing steel pipe piles and steel pipes sheet piles for infrastructure such as bridge foundation, port, harbor, pier, building and power plant foundation.
