Cao Lanh bridge is second big cable-stayed bridge (together with Vam Cong bridge – had commencemented on 10th September 2013) which belong to Central Mekong Delta Region Connectivity Project.
This bridge will across Tien bridge, at location of Cao Lanh city and Lap Vo district, far from Cao Lanh ferry station 0.8km along downstream and My Thuan 35km to upstream direction, Cost of the bridge is 145 billions USD (equal to 3,000 billion VND), it is capital by no-refund loan of Australia Government and borrow fund of Asia Development Bank (ADB).
Total length of bridge is 2,000m, with 04 vehicle lanes and 02 lanes of rudimentary vehicles, the design speed is 80km/h. The Owner is Cuu Long Corporation for Investment, Development and Project Management of Infrastructure (Cuu Long CIPM), the Contractors is Join venture of China road & bridge Corporate (CRBC) and Vinaconex E&C Viet Nam. This bridge is commencement on 19th October 2013. Plan period to finish this project is about 43 months.
